Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (97%), Rat (97%).

This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-110850. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Target Information

TAGLN is a transformation and shape-change sensitive actin cross-linking/gelling protein found in fibroblasts and smooth muscle. Its expression is down-regulated in many cell lines, and this down-regulation may be an early and sensitive marker for the onset of transformation. A functional role of this protein is unclear.
