Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (93%), Rat (93%).

This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-54716. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Target Information

CML66, also known as TSGA10 (Testis Specific Gene A10), is a gene located on chromosome 8q23 that encodes a broadly immunogenic tumor antigen. The gene is expressed in various leukemias and solid tumors but has restricted expression in normal tissues, being predominantly found in the testis and heart. The physiological function of CML66 remains unclear. However, its immunogenic properties, including the ability to elicit strong humoral immune responses, make it a potential target for cancer immunotherapy. Studies have identified cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) epitopes derived from CML66, suggesting that TSGA10-targeted therapies could be feasible. Moreover, research into the gene has revealed the existence of different isoforms, such as CML66-L (long) and CML66-S (short), which may have distinct roles in tumorigenesis and immune response modulation.
