Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (97%), Rat (97%).

This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-60767. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Target Information

BBS7, also named as BBS2L1, is a component of the BBSome complex which is required for ciliogenesis but is dispensable for centriolar satellite function. BBS7 is mediated in part by the Rab8 GDP/GTP exchange factor, which localizes to the basal body and contacts the BBSome.
