Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (92%), Rat (92%).

This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-58783. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Target Information

BBS4 contains tetratricopeptide repeats (TPR), similar to O-linked N-acetyglucosamine transferase. Mutations in the gene encoding this protein have been observed in patients with Bardet-Biedl syndrome type 4. BBS4 may play a role in pigmentary retinopathy, obesity, polydactyly, renal malformation and mental retardation.
