Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (62%), Rat (62%).

This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-65408. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.

Target Information

AP3B1 is a protein that may play a role in organelle biogenesis associated with melanosomes, platelet dense granules, and lysosomes. Structurally, AP3B1 is part of the heterotetrameric AP-3 protein complex which interacts with the scaffolding protein clathrin. Mutations in AP3B1 are associated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome type 2.
