VRK2 Antibody (CF811396) in WB

HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6-ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY VRK2 (RC206522, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 µg per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-VRK2. (1. Positive lysates LY416739 (100 µg) and LC416739 (20 µg) can be purchased separately from OriGene. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, we recommend adding 100 µL distilled water to a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL. To use this carrier-free antibody for conjugation experiments, we strongly recommend performing another round of desalting. (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7KMWCO, 0.5 mL, Product # 89882)

Target Information

VRK2 serine/threonine kinases vaccinia related kinase 2 is a member of the vaccinia-related kinase (VRK) family of kinases. VRK2 is widely expressed in human tissues and highly expressed in actively dividing cells, such as those in testis, leukocytes, fetal liver and carcinomas. VRK2 can be used to phosphorylate casein and itself undergoes autophosphorylation. VRK2 interacts specifically with Epstein-Barr virus BHRF1, a homologue of Bcl-2, and this interaction is involved in protecting cells from apoptosis.
