Phospho-PI3K p85/p55 (Tyr467, Tyr199) Antibody (PA5-118549) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemical analysis of Phospho-PI3K p85/p55 (Tyr458)/p55 (Tyr199) in NIH/3T3 cells using a Phospho-PI3K p85/p55 (Tyr458)/p55 (Tyr199) polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-118549). The samples were with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% saponin prior to blocking in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 37°C. The primary antibody was diluted 1:400 and incubated with the sample for 1 hour at 37°C. A Alexa Fluor 594 co... View More {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. Product Specific Information

Antibody detects endogenous levels of PI3K p85/p55 only when phosphorylated at Tyr467(p85) or Tyr199(p55). The site Tyr467 was historically referenced as Tyr458.

Target Information

Phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K, phospho PI3K) Binds to activated (phosphorylated) protein-Tyr kinases, through its SH2 domain, and acts as an adapter, mediating the association of the p110 catalytic unit to the plasma membrane. Phospho PI3K is necessary for the insulin-stimulated increase in glucose uptake and glycogen synthesis in insulin-sensitive tissues. During insulin stimulation, it also binds to IRS-1. Growth factors and hormones trigger this phosphorylation event, which in turn coordinates cell growth, cell cycle entry, cell migration, and cell survival.
