ITLN1 Antibody (PA5-100151) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemistry analysis of ITLN1 in HepG2 cells. The samples were fixed with PFA and permeabilized in 0.1% Triton X-100, then blocked in 10% serum for 45 minutes at 25°C. Samples were incubated with ITLN1 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-100151) and mouse anti-beta tubulin antibody for 1 hour at 37°C. An AlexaFluor594 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG(H+L) (Red) and an AlexaFluor488 conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG(H+L) (Green) were used as the secondary antibodies. The nuclear counter stain is DAPI (blue). {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

Product Specific Information

Antibody detects endogenous levels of total ITLN1.

Target Information

ITLN1 has no effect on basal glucose uptake but enhances insulin-stimulated glucose uptake in adipocytes. ITLN1 increases AKT phosphorylation in the absence and presence of insulin. ITLN1 may play a role in the defense system against microorganisms. ITLN1 may specifically recognize carbohydrate chains of pathogens and bacterial components containing galactofuranosyl residues, in a calcium-dependent manner. ITLN1 may be involved in iron metabolism.
