HSP40 Antibody (MA5-27685) in ICC/IF

Immunofluorescent analysis of HSP40 in human HaCaT cells. Sample was fixed with 100% cold methanol (10 minutes at -20°C), incubated with HSP40 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-27685) using a dilution of 1:100 (1 hour at RT), and followed by FITC Goat Anti-Mouse (green) secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:50 (1 hour at RT). {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. Product Specific Information

Immunohistochemistry samples may be prepared using cold 100% methanol at -20C for fixation.

0.5 µg/mL of MA5-27685 was sufficient for detection of HSP40 (HDJ1) in 15 µg of HeLa cell lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.|Detects approximately 40kDa. Does not cross-react with HDJ2 or YDJ1.

Target Information

TCF-9 (transcription factor 9), also known as C2orf3 (chromosome 2 open reading frame 3), GCF (GC-rich sequence DNA-binding factor) or DNABF, is a 781 amino acid nuclear protein that belongs to the GCF family. Widely expressed, GCF binds the GC-rich sequences of beta-Actin, EGFR and calcium-dependent protease (CANP) promoters. GCF contains multiple phosphoserine and phosphothreonine residues, and two GCF isoforms are produced due to alternative splicing events. GCF is considered a candidate for susceptibility to dyslexia (DYX3) as both genes reside in close proximity on human chromosome 2. Chromosome 2 is the second largest human chromosome and consists of 237 million bases, encodes over 1,400 genes and makes up approximately 8% of the human genome.
