Immunocytochemistry analysis of GRK6 in HT-1080 cells. Nuclei were stained blue with DAPI; GRK6 recombinant monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-53130) with a dilution of 1:1,000 was stained magenta with Alexa Fluor 647. Images were taken using Leica stellaris 5. Protein abundance based on laser Intensity and smart gain: Medium. Scale bar: 20 μm.

GRK6 is a member of the guanine nucleotide-binding protein coupled receptor kinase subfamily of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. GRK6 phosphorylates the activated forms of G protein-coupled receptors to initiate their deactivation. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for GRK6.
