ELL Antibody (A301-645A) in IP

Detection of human ELL by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ELL antibody (Product # A301-645A) (lot 2) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. ELL was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ELL antibody A301-644A. For blotting immunoprecipitated ELL, A301-645A was used at 1 µg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

Target Information

Elongation factor component of the super elongation complex (SEC), a complex required to increase the catalytic rate of RNA polymerase II transcription by suppressing transient pausing by the polymerase at multiple sites along the DNA. Elongation factor component of the little elongation complex (LEC), a complex required to regulate small nuclear RNA (snRNA) gene transcription by RNA polymerase II and III (PubMed:22195968, PubMed:23932780). Specifically required for stimulating the elongation step of RNA polymerase II- and III-dependent snRNA gene transcription (PubMed:23932780). ELL also plays an early role before its assembly into in the SEC complex by stabilizing RNA polymerase II recruitment/initiation and entry into the pause site. Required to stabilize the pre-initiation complex and early elongation. [UniProt]
