ACVR2A Antibody (PA5-95374) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemistry analysis of ACVR2A using anti-ACVR2A antibody (Product # PA5-95374). ACVR2A was detected in a section of NRK cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum and then incubated with 2μg/mL rabbit anti-ACVR2A antibody (Product # PA5-95374)overnight at 4°C. DyLight®550 Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody at 1:100 dilution and incubated for 30 minutes at 37°C. The section was counterstained with DAPI. ... Product Specific Information

Human ACVR2A shares 100% and 98.9% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat ACVR2A, respectively.

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.

Positive Control - WB: rat kidney tissue, HELA whole cell. IHC: human intestinal cancer tissue. ICC/IF: NRK cell. Flow: HEPA1-6 cell, RH35 cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Information

Activin A receptor kinase (ACVR2A) is a type II member of the TGF-beta family of receptor Serine/Threonine kinases. ACVR2A is involved in the activin and myostatin signaling pathway. (ACVR2A Aliases: ACVR2, ACTRII). These receptors are all transmembrane proteins, composed of a ligand-binding extracellular domain with cysteine-rich region, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic domain with predicted serine/threonine specificity. Type I receptors are essential for signaling, and type II receptors are required for binding ligands and for expression of type I receptors. Type I and II receptors form a stable complex after ligand binding, resulting in phosphorylation of type I receptors by type II receptors. Type II receptors are considered to be constitutively active kinases.
