mSin3A Antibody (ER2001-38) in WB

Western blot analysis of mSin3A on different lysates. Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% BSA in PBS for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (ER2001-38, 1:500) was used in 5% BSA at room temperature for 2 hours. Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG - HRP Secondary Antibody (HA1001) at 1:5,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature. Positive control: Lane 1: HL-60 cell lysate Lane 2: A549 cell lysate Lane 3: Siha cell lysate. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

Target Information

Mammalian Sin3 (mSin3) is a 150 kDa protein closely related to the yeast SIN3 repressor protein involved in the transcriptional repression of many genes. There are two mammalian isoforms, mSin3A and mSin3B. Containing 4 paired amphipathic helix domains (PAH domains), mSin3A and mSin3B have been shown to directly interact with several other transcriptional repressor proteins including HDAC1, HDAC2, RbAp46, the methyl CpG binding protein MeCP2, the Mad/Max heterodimer, and the corepressors silencing mediator of retinoic acid and thyroid hormone receptor (SMRT) and nuclear receptor corepressor (N-CoR).
