TGF alpha Antibody (500-P16BT-25UG) in ELISA

Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human TGF-alpha by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 µg/mL of TGF alpha Polyclonal Antibody, Biotin (Product # 500-P16BT-1MG) is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech TGF alpha Polyclonal Antibody (Product # 500-P16-1MG) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human TGF-alpha. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. Product Specific Information

AA Sequence of recombinant protein: VVSHFNDCPD SHTQFCFHGT CRFLVQEDKP ACVCHSGYVG ARCEHADLLA.

Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human TGF-alpha. Anti-Human TGF-alpha-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human TGF-alpha by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human TGF-alpha (500-P16) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human TGF-alpha.

Western Blot: To detect Human TGF-alpha by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/mL. When used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant Human TGF-alpha is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

500-P16BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 µg

Target Information

TGF-alpha is an EGF-related polypeptide growth factor that signals through the EGF receptor, and stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of epidermal and epithelial cells. It is produced by monocytes, keratinocytes, and various tumor cells. TGF-alpha induces anchorage-independence transformation in cultured cells. Human, murine and rat TGF-alpha are cross-species reactive. TGFalpha (aa 50) is a growth factor with 33% homology to EGF, binds to EGFR, activates tyrosine phosphorylation of the receptor, and stimulates cell proliferation. It plays a role in tumor initiation by inducing the reversible transformed phenotype.
