LXR beta Antibody (PA5-18310) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemistry analysis of LXR beta using LXR beta Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-18310) in paraformaldehyde fixed U2OS cells, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton. Primary incubation 1hr (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL), showing nuclear staining. Actin filaments were stained with phalloidin (red) and the nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Negative control: Unimmunized goat IgG (10 µg/mL) followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (2 µg/mL). {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with canine, mouse and rat based on sequence homology.

This antibody is tested in Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 128,000.

Target Information

The liver X receptors, LXRA and LXRB, form a subfamily of the nuclear receptor superfamily and are key regulators of macrophage function, controlling transcriptional programs involved in lipid homeostasis and inflammation. The inducible LXRA is highly expressed in liver, adrenal gland, intestine, adipose tissue, macrophages, lung, and kidney, whereas LXRB is ubiquitously expressed. Ligand-activated LXRs form obligate heterodimers with retinoid X receptors and regulate expression of target genes containing LXR response elements.
