GATA4 Antibody (MA5-42569) in IHC (P)

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) analysis of paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma tissue using GATA4 Monoclonal Antibody (Product # MA5-42569). The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0) for 20 minutes. The tissues were blocked in 1% BSA for 30 minutes at room temperature, washed with ddH2O and PBS, and then probed with the GATA4 antibody at a dilution... Subcellular Location: Cell nucleus

Target Information

GATA4 is a member of the GATA family of zinc-finger transcription factors. Members of this family recognize the GATA motif which is present in the promoters of many genes. This protein is thought to regulate genes involved in embryogenesis and in myocardial differentiation and function. Mutations in the gene encoding GATA4 have been associated with cardiac septal defects.
