EphA4 Antibody (PA5-29338) in WB

Western blot was performed using Anti-EPHA4 Polyclonal Antibody (Product # PA5-29338) and a 109 kDa band corresponding to EPHA4 was observed across all the positive tissues (Mouse brain and Rat brain) and Caco-2 but absent in negative tissues (Mouse cerebellum and Mouse liver). Tissue extracts (30 µg lysate) of Mouse brain (Lane 1), Rat brain (Lane 2), Mouse cerebellum (Lane 3), Mouse liver (Lane 4) and membrane enriched extracts of Caco-2 (Lane 5) were electrophoresed using NuPAGE™ 4-12% Bis-Tris Protein Gel (Product # NP0322BOX). Target Information

EPHA4 belongs to the ephrin receptor subfamily of the protein tyrosine kinase family. EPH and EPH-related receptors have been implicated in mediated developmental events, particularly in the nervous system. Receptors in the EPH subfamily typically have a single kinase domain and an extracellular region containing a Cys-rich domain and 2 fibronectin type III repeats. The ephrin receptors are divided into 2 groups based on the similarity of their extracellular domain sequences and their affinities for binding ephrin-A and ephrin-B ligands. EphA4 encodes a protein that binds ephrin-A ligands.
