Catalase Antibody (PA5-95349) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemistry analysis of Catalase using anti-Catalase antibody (Product # PA5-95349) . Catalase was detected in a section of A431 cells. Enzyme antigen retrieval was performed using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent for 15 mins. The cells were blocked with 10% goat serum and then incubated with 2μg/mL rabbit anti-Catalase antibody (Product # PA5-95349) overnight at 4°C. DyLight®488 Conjugated Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody at 1:100 dilution and incubated for 30 minutes at 37°C. The section was counterstained ... Product Specific Information

Human Catalase shares 85.3% and 82.6% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse and rat Catalase, respectively.

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.

Positive Control - WB: human A549 whole cell, human HL-60 whole cell, human THP-1 whole cell, human U937 whole cell, human HepG2 whole cell, human K562 whole cell, human HCCT tissue, human HCCP tissue, rat liver tissue, rat kidney tissue, rat lung tissue, rat RH35 whole cell, mouse liver tissue, mouse kidney tissue, mouse lung tissue. IHC: mouse liver tissue, rat liver tissue, human liver cancer tissue. ICC/IF: A431 cell. Flow: SiHa cell.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Information

Catalase is a homotetrameric heme-containing enzyme present within the matrix of all peroxisomes. It carries out a dismutation reaction in which hydrogen peroxide is converted to water and oxygen. Human catalase has the last four amino acids (-KANL) at the extreme C-terminus for peroxisome targeting. The monomer of human catalase is 61.3 kDa in molecular size. Catalase has been implicated as an important factor in inflammation, mutagenesis, prevention of apoptosis, and stimulation of a wide spectrum of tumors. Loss of catalase leads to the human genetic disease, acatalasemia, or Takahara's disease.
