Product Specific Information

AA Sequence of recombinant protein: KPVSLSYRCP CRFFESHVAR ANVKHLKILN TPNCALQIVA RLKSNNRQVC IDPKLKWIQE YLDKALNK.

Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Rat SDF-1alpha (CXCL12). Anti-Rat SDF-1alpha (CXCL12)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA: To detect Rat SDF-1alpha by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well), a concentration of 0.25-1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Rat SDF-1alpha (500-P315) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Rat SDF-1alpha.

Western Blot: To detect Rat SDF-1alpha by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 µg/mL. When used in conjunction with compatible development reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Rat SDF-1alpha is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

500-P315BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 µg

Target Information

CXCL12 is a stromal cell-derived alpha chemokine member of the intercrine family. This gene product and its receptor CXCR4 can activate lymphocytes and have been implicated in the metastasis of some cancers such as breast cancer. Mutations in this gene are associated with resistance to human immunodeficiency virus type 1 infections. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
