COMP Antibody (PA5-95547) in ICC/IF

Immunofluorescence analysis of COMP in HepG2 cell. Antigen retrieval was performed on the tissue using IHC enzyme antigen retrieval reagent and blocked with 10% goat serum. Samples were incubated with COMP polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-95547) at a 2 µg/mL dilution, followed by 488 conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG using a 1:100 dilution and DAPI. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. Product Specific Information

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 µg/mL.

Positive Control - WB: human HepG2 whole cell, human Hacat whole cell, human CACO-2 whole cell, human 293T whole cell, rat cartilage tissue, mouse cartilage tissue. IHC: mouse knee-joint tissue, rat knee-joint tissue.|Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Information

COMP is a noncollagenous extracellular matrix protein. It consists of five identical glycoprotein subunits, each with EGF like and calcium binding (thrombospondin like) domains. Oligomerization results from formation of a five stranded coiled coil and disulfides. Binding to other ECM proteins such as collagen appears to depend on divalent cations. Mutations can cause the osteochondrodysplasias pseudochondroplasia (PSACH) and multiple epiphyseal dysplasia (MED).
