CACNB2 Antibody (MA5-45453) in ICC/IF

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis using human neuroblastoma cells. Fixation involved 4% PFA for 15 min. Samples were incubated with Cav beta 2 monoclonal antibody (Product # MA5-45453) at 1:50 for overnight at 4°C with slow rocking, followed by AlexaFluor 488 at 1:1,000 for 1 hour at RT. Counterstain used was Phalloidin-iFluor 647 (red) F-Actin stain; Hoechst (blue) nuclear stain at 1:800, 1.6mM for 20 min at RT. (A) Hoechst (blue) nuclear stain. (B) Phalloidin-iFluor 647 (red) F-Actin stain. (C) Cav beta 2 antibody (D) Compo... View More {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

Product Specific Information

1 µg/mL of MA5-45453 was sufficient for detection of Cav beta2 in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody|Detects approximately 78 kDa. No cross reactivity against Cav beta 1, Cav beta 3, Cav beta 4.

Target Information

The expression of multiple classes of voltage dependent calcium channels (VDCCs) allows neurons to tailor calcium signaling to functionally discrete cellular regions. Although N-Type VDCCs exist before birth which is consistent with a role in migration, most N-Type VDCCs subunit expression is postnatal and is important in the genesis of synaptic transmission in discrete hippocampal fields.
