Artemin Antibody (PA5-47063) in Neu

Neutralization of Artemin in SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line. Samples were incubated in Artemin polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-47063). Recombinant Mouse Artemin stimulates proliferation in the SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). Proliferation elicited by Recombinant Mouse Artemin (15 ng/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Goat Anti-Mouse Artemin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody. The ND50 is typically 0.1-0.3 µg/mL. {{ $ctrl.currentElement.advancedVerification.fullName }} validation info. View more

Product Specific Information

In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) GDNF, recombinant rat GDNF, rhNeurturin, and rhTGF-beta 1 is observed.

Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Endoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.

Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the glial cell line-derived neurotophic factor (GDNF) family of ligands which are a group of ligands within the TGF-beta superfamily of signaling molecules. GDNFs are unique in having neurotrophic properties and have potential use for gene therapy in neurodegenerative disease. Artemin has been shown in culture to support the survival of a number of peripheral neuron populations and at least one population of dopaminergic CNS neurons. Its role in the PNS and CNS is further substantiated by its expression pattern in the proximity of these neurons. This protein is a ligand for the RET receptor and uses GFR-alpha 3 as a coreceptor. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
